Icy temps and spicy splits. American records fell in Houston on both the men’s and women’s side of the half marathon. Conner Mantz battled Addisu Gobena with some contact at the finish to come in a close 2nd but with a 59:17 PB and American Record. Weini Kelati also came in second and also took down an American Record in 66:09 (improving on her own record set last year) On the marathon side, Erika Kemp had a breakthrough performance, finishing 2nd in 2:22:56 and improving on her record for Fastest American-born Black Female. .
