The Freetrail Podcast with Dylan Bowman

Today we continue the rollout of sessions from the 2026 edition of TrailCon. This session explores the important topic of anti-doping in trail running and how we can prioritize fairness as the sport grows globally and as the incentive structures evolve.

Leading this discussion is Travis Tygart, the CEO of USADA, one of the foremost experts on the subject globally. The session starts with a slideshow presentation where Travis talks through his experience working in the domain and what maturing sports can do to stay in front of the problem.

After the presentation, Travis is joined by Tim Tollefson who shares some his experience as an athlete and race director, engaging Travis in an on stage interview.

Topics:

• Creating a culture of fairness
• Increasing the benefit of doing the right thing
• Enforcing firm consequences for infractions
