Today on the podcast is Isiah Harris!

Isaiah runs for the Brooks Beast. Isaiah most recently placed second at this year's US Championships by running a time of 1:46.68, sending him to Budapest this month for the 2023 World Championships. Back in 2022, he earned a spot on his first US team by finishing 2nd at the 2022 USATF Indoor National Championships, eventually finishing seventh at the World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.

In college, Isaiah achieved several notable milestones during his collegiate career at Penn State University, including winning the 2018 NCAA Championship in the Outdoor 800-meters with a time of 1:44.76. Isaiah is an 8-time Big Ten Champion and holds the All-Time Big Ten Indoor Championships and Outdoor Championships Records in the 800-meters with times of 1:46.24 and 1:45.31, respectively. He also competed in the 2017 IAAF World Championships and the USATF Championships, earning a silver medal in the latter with a time of 1:44.53. He demonstrated consistent performances and secured multiple NCAA Indoor/Outdoor All-American honors throughout his career. With impressive speed and endurance, Isaiah established himself as one of the top middle-distance runners in the United States and made significant contributions to Penn State's track and field program.

In today's conversation, Isaiah and I have a very fun, wide-ranging discussion on a plethora of topics including his upbringing in the sport, years at Penn State, the culture at Brooks Beasts, this past US Championships, and much more.
