Athletes Mentioned
This week on TRACK! We are delighted to be joined by a man of many talents; Dan Robinson. Dan is an accomplished runner, with personal bests including sub 9 minutes for 3km, a 31.18 10km, a 69 minute half marathon, and a sub-2.30 marathon. Dan is also a coach with a number of years experience with some high achieving athletes. Alongside this, Dan has a full-time position at the University of Wolverhampton within the Sport & Exercise Science department, in which he has a particular interest in sports psychology, with a research profile centred on, amongst other topics, emotional regulation during endurance performance and psychological strategies to aid performance. Despite all of this however, the main focus of our chat today is on a non-for -profit cafe and organisation called the Oregano Project - a project designed to provide employment opportunities and support for refugee runners and locals struggling to hold down positions that Dan is at the heart of alongside Lucie Tait-Harris, an accomplished runner in her own right
