The Brooks Glycerin line has long been a go-to for runners looking for a good balance of comfort, cushioning and stability. The Glycerin 22 continues those aspects of the shoe but features a few updates to improve the ride.
The biggest of those is an updated midsole made from the brand’s new DNA Tuned foam, the same used in the Brooks Glycerin Max, that combines larger foam cells in the heel for a softer landing and smaller cells in the forefoot for increased energy at toe-off.
The Brooks Glycerin Max takes the fundamentals of the popular Glycerin line and beefs up the midsole with the brand's newest foam, DNA Tuned. Made from dual-cell technology, DNA Tuned is a nitrogen-infused foam made up of large cells in the heel to provide soft, comfortable landings with smaller cells in the forefoot to promote a response toe-off.
