Under Armour is a sometimes in, sometimes out brand when it comes to running. But this year is definitely an In year. A glaring hole in their lineup has been the daily trainer. But I think they’ve finally gotten a legitimate option. Supercritical foam feels nice and there is very little in the midsole or upper to get in the way of this very flexible, very neutral runner. It’s a pretty enjoyable experience for runs of about an hour or so, and there’s potential for some pace versatility in a pinch.
There’s something about it that feels a bit cheap though, but at least it comes in at a budget price that makes it a pretty good value for runners and high school hallways alike. It’s not a home run, but all I really needed from Under Armour here was to get on base. I’m pretty happy with this one, overall.
