Charlie Ramsay, the Scottish runner and creator of ‘The Ramsay Round’, passed away last week at the age of 81.
The pioneering Black runner was the first person to complete the now-iconic 56-mile route in under 24 hours, climbing more than 8600m over 24 summits, including Ben Nevis, Britain's tallest mountain. Now countless other runners and walkers from around the world have followed in his legendary footsteps.
