Today on the podcast is the one and only, Elise Cranny!

Elise was on fire in 2023 and had historic performances at the US Championships and on the Diamond League Circuit. Elise won both the 5k & 10k at this year's US Championships in extraordinary fashion. She repped the red, white, and blue on the big stage in Budapest for the 2023 World Championships in August, where she had a mix of emtions as you'll hear in today's episode. Two weeks after the US Championships, she ran the Monaco Diamond League, where she ran a new Mile PR and US All-Time #2 in a time of 4:16.47. Elise also help to pace a new 5k WR at the Pre Classic. Needless to say, Elise raised her bar in 2023 and with that, elevated all of US Women's Distance Running with her.

For those who aren't familiar with Elise, she has a long history of success from the time she was in high school. In high school, she won more state-championships and had more accolades than one could remember. In college, Elise become one of the most decorated athletes in Stanford program history.

In today's conversation, Elise and I have a very reflective conversation and she shares some thoughts on her career and season that have been percolating in her mind. We also go into her 2023 season, and break down some of the key moments and races.

Anytime Elise comes on the podcast, you're bound to walk away with some newfound wisdom and a smile on your face.
